The terms of use.
Plain terms for a reference and a working kit. They do not replace legal advice.
What you are buying
A reference, a free check and, if you pay, a kit of documents rendered from the record and a change watch. The kit is a working document for one organisation and its advisers. It is not for resale.
Accuracy
We read the authorised text of Competition and Consumer Amendment (Unfair Trading Practices) Act 2026 and state each requirement in our own words. We check the record against the official text and run the strict seven-word overlap test before release. The law can change, and a court or regulator can read it differently. Check the official text before you rely on a line; the source link is on every page.
Trademarks and copyright
The Act is Commonwealth legislation. This site is an independent reference. The name The Art of Service and the product name are ours. We do not claim ownership of the Act or of any government mark.
No certification or endorsement
We do not certify, audit, validate or approve your business, and nothing on this site should be read as an endorsement by the Commonwealth, the Parliament, the ACCC or the Treasury. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any of them.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a guarantee applies and there is a failure, you may be entitled to a remedy. To the extent the law allows, our liability for a failure is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
